Automatic Isoperibol Bomb Calorimeter model IP-1 combines the latest in technology and design to deliver precise, reliable gross calorific value (GCV) determination for a wide range of solid and liquid samples — including coal, biomass, petroleum products, bio-oils, and high-CV fuels. Designed on the latest Isoperibol technology, the instrument maintains the surrounding jacket at a constant temperature while the bomb and water bucket register the heat released during combustion, ensuring accurate and repeatable results with a temperature resolution of 0.0001°C. The instrument complies to the latest ASTM D5865, ….. IS:17654 etc standards.

Designed for maximum productivity, the system is fully automated featuring software controlled, hands free, fully automatic Oxygen filling and venting, automatic temperature adjustment and stabilization, automatic ignition and determination of end of experiment, result calculation. The closed loop water circulation system is also fully automatic, software controlled and hands free and does not require any manual filling or draining of water. The temperature graph can be stored for future use, if required. The corrosion-resistant, stabilized steel oxygen bomb is pressure-tested and certified to ASTM E144 and BIS standards to comply to the latest safety standards. The integrated refrigeration system ensures stable operating conditions throughout every test.

The instrument supports multiple operating modes — Precision, Predictive, and more — enabling up to 6–8 tests per hour. A Windows-based software interface allows seamless connectivity with weighing balances, printers, and PCs, with auto weight transfer and results reported in cal/g, Kcal/Kg, BTU/lb, and MJ/Kg. Internal memory stores over 1,000 test results, with export options via SD card, USB, and Ethernet for effortless data management.

• Fully Automatic Microprocessor based designed to be configured as a Stand Alone unit or Computer Controlled.
• All the processes in the experiment are Automatic. During experiment, the instrument automatically fills Oxygen, Adjust Water Temperature, fills water from the integrated chiller to the main instrument, starts the Stirrer, initiate Fire after temperature stabilization, ends the experiment after maximum temperature has been achieved, drains water back into the chiller, performs calculations and displays results, etc. without any manual intervention

• The Combustion Bomb is fabricated from Stabilized Steel, thick walled and resistant to halogen, corrosion and acids. They are tested at high pressure and supplied with test and safety certificate as per ASTM E144, BIS guidelines. Various type of Combustion Bomb can be used in the instrument.

• A variety of crucible types and designs viz. Ni-Cr Alloy, Quartz, Nickel, Platinum etc. along with Gelatin Capsules and Fuel Cells can be used.
• Features a Fully Automatic, Hands free, closed loop, software controlled water circulation system to fill and drain water in the instrument The cavity surrounding the bucket (jacket) is filled and drained automatically with water. The water temperature in the jacket is controlled with 0.1⁰C with a resolution of 0.0001⁰C.

• Bomb washings can be collected for acid correction by titration method.
• The instrument can be configured with either built in LCD Display/(Touch Screen), Computer or both. This provides the user with the display of their choice while supporting adequate number of USB and other communication and interface ports.

• The Software should automatically keep track of number of times bomb have been fired. Built-in auto counter must aid in the tracking of routine maintenance and other expendable components.
• Automatic Correction facility for Acid or % Nitrogen, fuse wire, sulphur, moisture, spike weight, ash and hydrogen for further calculation of CV. Provision of correction of GCV based on N, H, & S content of sample also available.
• The powerful software has provision to display the GCV results in tabular format with graphical view in same screen & also able to save it for future reference.
• Data saved in a variety of devices viz. Internal   Memory, SD Card, Pen Drive and can be shared thru   Ethernet.
• The Instruments features Windows based easy to use software which can be linked to PC, Printer, Weighing   Scale for auto weight transfer. GCV Results in customized format are saved in HDD which can be printed as required. It has large data storage facility.
